DAY 1 SALZBURG
Arrival to Salzburg airport and transfer to Salzburg city center city. Settle in at the hotel and free time to relax. In the afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Salzbur, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, unesco world cultural heritage site, the city of the sound of music musical & perfect starting point for adventures around the Alps. In the evening free time to visit one of many advent markets.
DAY 2 SALZBURG
After breakfast, half day original sounds of the music tour. A wonderful ride with breath taking views of the landscape where the opening scenes were filmed. Relax and listen to the original sound of music soundtrack. Our english speaking guide not only shows you the highlights of the film 'sound of music' but also the historical and architectural landmarks in the city, as well as a part of the picturesque lake district. After lunch free time for shopping and exploring the city on your own. In the evening visit a concert to get in a real christmas mood or famous sound of music musical. Tickest can be booked with panoramic travel. After breakfast, full day trip to Innsbruck and Swarovski crystal worlds. Guided sightseeing tour of the city Innsbruck main shopping street will once again dazzle visitors with lights, glass and crystal. New stalls, modern christmas lighting designs and an exciting range of souvenirs supplement the traditional christmas market offerings in the heart of the town. You are guaranteed to make friends in Innsbruck. Be enchanted by the great crystal! Swarovski crystal worlds, conceived by André Heller, have become a place where people from different backgrounds take pleasure in their astonishment that is as multi-faceted, spontaneous and unadulterated as crystal itself. Visit the world’s biggest Swarovski shop in its visionary design and the café-terra, where you can enjoy an exquisite selection of food and drink. The creatively designed park invites you to linger a while as well – offering a maze, Alpine garden, art objects and panoramic view. In the late afternoon drive back to Salzburg. Dinner and overnight in Salzburg.
DAY 4 SALZBURG – STEYR – VIENNA
After breakfast transfer in direction of Vienna, with a sightseeing stop in steyr, a favorite Austria travel destination during the christmas season. Ease up and immerse yourself in the romantic atmosphere of the Christkindl town of steyr. Marvel at the antique christmas decorations displayed in the 1st Austrian christmas museum, visit the nativity scenes in Christkindl, send greetings to your loved ones via the Christkindl post office. After lunch time transfer in direction of Vienna. Settle in hotel in Vienna and free time to explore city on your own. Vienna, also described as Europe’s cultural capital, is a metropolis with unique charm, vibrancy and fly air. It boasts outstanding infrastructure, is clean and safe, and has all the inspiration that you could wish for in order to discover this wonderful part of Europe. Austria’s capital offers a unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning modern architecture. It is famous for its cultural events, imperial sights, coffee houses, cosy wine taverns, and the very special Viennese charm.
DAY 5 VIENNA
Start the day with half day sightseeing tour of Vienna, that will give you a total insight into this old imperial city. Whilst travelling around Vienna's famous ringroad, laid out on the sites of the old city fortifications, you will see many magnificent buildings and architectural styles including the Opera house, Hofburg palace, fine arts museum, natural history museum, parliament, Burgtheatre & more. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the showrooms of the Schönbrunn palace. Schönbrunn was built as a summer residence of the Habsburgs which was originally constructed for Maria Theresia. After lunch at local restaurant free time for shopping, visit of a favorit museum or gallery. In the evening free time, visit a musical or one of many concerts. Evening events can be suggested and booked by Panoramic travel if requested.
DAY 6 VIENNA
After breakfast, half-day excursion which shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna woods. Passing the roman city of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs, we dirve through the romantic valley Helenental to the former mayerling hunting lodge, (visit of memorial chapel), where crown prince Rudolph together with baronesse Vetsera died tragically in 1889. In the cistercian abbey of Heiligenkreuz (1133) you visit the medieval cloister which houses the remains of the last Babenberger. We then pass the Höldrichsmühle and arrive at the Seegrotte. After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake in Europe you leave the Vienna woods and return to Vienna. After lunch at local restaurant return drive to Vienna. Free time to explore the city on your own and overnight in Vienna.
DAY 7 VIENNA DEPARTURE
After breakfast departure towards Vienna international airport for return fligh back home.
