SALZBURG

Advent is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful seasons in the city of Salzburg. When the first snowflakes swirl in the air, when children start to build snowmen in the Mirabell Gardens and the scent of mulled wine wafts through the narrow streets, even the surliest characters become hopelessly romantic.

Salzburg is a city in central Austria, at the northern edge of Alps. It has a population of approximately 150,000 people, which makes it the fourth – biggest city of Austria. The city is popular tourist destination and famous mainly for its Baroque architecture (the old city centre is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site), as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and as the place where the movie “The Sound of Music” was shot.
