DAY 1 GRAZ - MARIBOR
Arrival to Graz airport and transfer to Maribor city. Settle in at the hotel and free time to relax. Maribor is the second largest city in the country, but at the same time is pleasantly small and set it the wonderful natural surroundings of Pohorje on the one side and wine growing hills on the other, with the river Drava wending its way through it. The town core itself already places Maribor in a society of european towns that are known by their uniqueness, traditional and quality offers. The city first mentioned in 1254, is laced with quaint streets leading from one city square to another. Maribor will be the european capital of culture in 2012 and host of the 26. Winter universaide 2013.Dinner and a chance to visit one of many cultural events, overnight in centraly located hotel in maribor.
DAY 2 MARIBOR - LOVRENSKA JEZERA LAKE - MARIBOR
Start the day with half day trip to Rogla. Rogla is recreation center, a natural climatic health resort, located on 1517 meters above sea level. Enjoy easy three hours hike to Lovrenska jezera. After lunch at local restaurant drive to Maribor. Guided sightseeing tour of european capital of culture. In the evening free time for visit of evening events.
DAY 3 MARIBOR - LOGARSKA VALLEY
After breakfast, drive in direction of Logarska valley. The valley was created by the play of the nature in the hart of Kamnik-Savinja Alps, enshrouded by the lofty peaks of Kroficka, Ojstrica, Lučka baba, Planjava, Brana, Turska gora and Rinke, all of which rise above 2,000 metres. Short walk to Rinka waterfal. Rinka waterfall is the highest of the 20 waterfalls in the Logar valley. It is visited in all seasons of the year. After visit of Rinka waterfall free time to rest in "Olcarska bajta" (Lumberjacks' hut) and free time for foto safari & lunch at local tourist farm. The tourist farms offer home-made products of fruit and berries. At the farm you will be served with various homemade delicacies like homemade savinjski želodec, salami, cheese, jams, butter, and juices.After lunch continue to Ljubljana for guided sightseeing tour of the capital. Sightseeing tour includes a visit to the market, Dragon bridge, Robba’s fountain, cathedral of St.Nicholas etc. During sightseeing take a ride with funicular railway to Ljubljana castle and climb the stairs to tower castle – enjoy panoramic view over Ljubljana. Dinner and overnight in hotel in ljubljana.
DAY 4 ISTRIA
After breakfast proceed to Istria with a sightseeing stop for visit of Skocjan caves. The Skocjan caves and their surroundings were entered on unesco’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites in 1986. The Skocjan caves are typical and the most characteristic karst area of global importance and are considered to be one of the natural treasures of planet earth. Guided visit of Skocjan caves takes about one-and-a-half hours, trail’s lowest point is 144 metres beneath the surface. After visit continue to city of truffles, Buzet. Free time for short walk arround the city that has been inhabited since ancient times. Visit to smallest city in the world – Hum, that has only 17 inhabitants. Continue towards Mediterranean coast and Opatija. Dinner in hotel and overnight.
DAY 5 OPATIJA - PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast continue to Plitvicka lakes, for a half day sightseeing tour of Craotia no 1 national park. Plitvice lakes are recognized as an astonishing natural monument for the benefit and enjoyment of the people now and for the generations to come. Today, 60 years after its establishment, Plitvice park continues to provide inspiration for visitors becoming nowadays one of Croatia's biggest attractions. Thousands of people from all over the world visit the park during summer. They come to find peace and relaxation just to experience something different as a getaway from the city. In the afternoon drive towards Mediterranean coast. Dinner and overnight in trogir.
DAY 6 TROGIR AND SPLIT
After breakfast drive towards Trogir. Guided sightseeing tour of the unesco world heritage city Trogir that is also called the "city-museum" because each rock and building has its own importance for a specific period of history. From rich cultural offer, we single out: Greek relief of Kairos (the god of a happy moment), Radovan's portal, the cathedral of St. Lawrence, Duke's court, the city box, the Čipiko palace and the Kamerlengo tower. After lunch in local restaurant continue to Split. Split is also one of the oldest cities in the area, and is traditionally considered just over 1,700 years old, while archaeological research relating to the ancient Greek colony of Aspálathos (6th century bc) establishes the city as being several hundred years older. Overnight in split.
DAY 7 DUBROVNIK
After breakfast departure towards Dubrovnik. After lunch in local restaurant meet with licensed guide for half day tour of Dubrovnik that includes vist of cathedral, city walls, Dominican monastery, Sponza palace, Rector's palace and Franciscan monastery. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 DUBROVNIK DEPARTURE
After breakfast departure towards Dubrovnik international airport for return fligh back home.
