DAY 1 BLED – VINTGAR GORGE – BEGUNJE – BLED
Morning arrival at the airport and transfer to hotel in Bled, one of Slovenia’s top tourist destinations that ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts. In the afternoon visit the kingdom of water and rocks – Vintgar gorge, one of the most popular natural features in Slovenia. After the tour around Bled, a short drive to Begunje and visit to Avsenik museum, which represents the greatness of Avsenik music. Dinner and overnight in Bled.
DAY 2 BLED – BOHINJ – VOGEL – KRANJSKA GORA – VRSIC - BOVEC
Breakfast and departure for Bohinj Lake situated in Triglav National Park. Visit to the Alpine Dairy Museum and a cable car ride to the mountain Vogel with extraordinary panoramas over the surrounding area. After lunch, drive in the direction of Bovec, passing Kranjska Gora and crossing the Vršič tourist panoramic pass, the highest road passing through the Eastern Julian Alps. Dinner and overnight in Bovec.
DAY 3 BOVEC – KOBARID – TOLMIN – KRAS – PORTOROZ
Morning departure to Kobarid, along the Soča river valley. Visit Kobarid museum and the gorges of the Tolminka River. A short walking tour shows you the perfect scenery of the two rivers, the Devils bridge and Dante’s cave, which got its name from the famous Italian poet Dante Alighieri. Head towards Most na Soči for lunch and a boat ride over its emerald green lake. Proceed to Komen in Karst for wine and prosciutto tasting. Evening drive to Portorož, city of sun, salt and wind. Overnight.
DAY 4 PORTOROŽ – PIRAN - HRASTOVLJE – POSTOJNA - LJUBLJANA
In the morning sightseeing boat ride to Piran for sightseeing. After traditional Mediterranean lunch drive inland, with a short stop in the small Istrian village of Hrastovlje, known for its St. Trinity’s church and world famous frescos Dance of Death and a visit to Postojna Caves, one of the country’s top tourist sights. Transfer to Ljubljana for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 LJUBLJANA – PLETERJE – BIZELJSKO – OLIMJE
After breakfast, drive in the direction of Dolenjska Region, known for its hills laden with vineyards, small churches, castles and monasteries. Discover the secrets of Pleterje monastery, the only surviving monastery of that order in the country. Enjoy a lunch in Bizeljsko and wine tasting in “Repnice”, underground cellars dug in sand. In the afternoon transfer to Olimje near Podčetrtek for a visit to the baroque parish church and one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe. Settle into the hotel in Terme Olimia and after dinner free time to enjoy the world of wellness, swimming pools and relaxation.
DAY 6 OLIMJE – PTUJ – MARIBOR
Morning departure in the direction of Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia. Sightseeing tour of the city, which is full of historical and cultural heritage. Lunch and transfer to Maribor. Sightseeing tour of the city includes also a visit to The Old Vine house, the home of the oldest vine in the world and wine tasting. Dinner and free time. Overnight in Maribor.
DAY 7 MARIBOR – FILOVCI – BOGOJINA – LJUBLJANA
After breakfast departure in the direction of Prekmurje region. Visit to floating Babičev mill on the Mura River, Church of the Ascension, designed by the famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik in Bogojina, open air museum and Bojnec pottery house in the pottery village Filovci. On the way back to Ljubljana stop in Kocbek pumpkin oil house, where they provide the most pure and natural pumpkin oils from selected seeds that are matured in the fields. In the evening enjoy dinner with a folklore show at a restaurant in Ljubljana.
DAY 8 DEPARTURE
After breakfast departure towards Ljubljana airport.
